At Dauphin Way United Methodist Church, we hope all who come through our doors will find a place to connect and grow in their faith through our adult ministry. The church is called to be a distinctive community! The purpose of this ministry is to help adults experience an authentic, Christian community that cares for each person within it, while guiding them through their covenant to live a life of discipleship. We encourage you to become and remain an active part of our church family. Besides attending worship on Sunday mornings, another way to get more involved at Dauphin Way is by attending some of our groups and classes.

We are a traditional Sunday School class of older adults who believe Christian education is a life-long pursuit and a faith journey that never ends. The class utilizes an approved Methodist curriculum reinforced by the life experiences of our members. We are also a fun-loving, diverse group. Some are retired, some still work every day, and we disagree on a variety of subjects, from football teams to politics and the environment. Our overarching principle is to make everyone feel welcome.
We hope that you will join us on Sunday mornings, but be warned, our visitors usually become members!
This heavily discussion-based class is comprised of adults of all ages. The teaching team rotates weekly among class members. Scriptural studies, theological studies, as well as studies of current events from a perspective of faith provide the foundation for study and discussion during class each week. This class frequently tackles the difficult issues of faith with open minds and open hearts.
We welcome new members in the same way – with open minds and open hearts!
This class of women enjoy reading, studying and comparing the theology and writing of various authors. We are centered around stimulating discussions of the topics we study, and members take turns leading the class. In addition to our Sunday morning class, we enjoy social activities together, such as seeing movies or having meals.
We invite our seeker friends to join us for thought-provoking discussion and encouragement for growing in faith.

Baptisms are to take place in the presence of the community of faith. Our congregation welcomes our newest members, and renews our covenant to live a life of discipleship.
Participants in this small-group study will explore the central stories of John, focusing on people who discovered God’s grace through their encounters with Jesus. This is more than a survey of the biblical stories of Andrew, Simon, Philip, and Nathaniel; Nicodemus; the Samaritan woman; the lame man; the woman caught in adultery; the blind man; Mary and Martha; and Simon Peter. The Way of Grace is a transforming interaction with the events and the characters, a chance to identify with what God provided for these people , a provision they could never achieve for themselves.
If you long to open your heart to a deeper knowing of God’s grace, to recognize the “soul’s deep compass steering us Godward,” this is the study for you.
Class starts on Sunday, September 13 at 4:30 PM and will run for 10 weeks total, ending on Sunday, November 15.

Who better to help us explore the prayers and songs of the Psalms than Pastor Darrin, our Pastor of Music and Worship?
