Our mission statement at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church is “To Make Disciples who Make a Difference” and we take that mission very seriously! We want to be the church that says yes to new and exciting ministries that can help strengthen and build this community of Jesus followers. For each service, childcare is provided for kids 4-years-old and under in the Education Building. Infants may go to the Nursery, while toddlers who are walking up to 2-years-old may go to Room 115, and 3 and 4-year-olds may go to Room 109. For children in kindergarten through third grade, we offer Children’s Church during our Contemporary (9:30 AM) and Sanctuary (11:00 AM) worship services. Before the sermon begins, children in grades Kindergarten through 3rd Grade are invited to participate in an enriching, age-appropriate program led by our Director of Children’s Ministry, Heather White. We also offer a — youth program for teens in 7th through 12th grade. Led by our Director of Student Ministry, Andrew Peeler, our youth are guided in their faith as we shape them to make a difference in our community and the world around us. This ministry helps teens build relationships with each other, and more importantly, Christ! Throughout the year, our young disciples study the Bible regularly, serve their community through mission trips across the world, and participate in fun events like Underground Church, Youth Camp, Winter Retreat, and so much more! Worship at our church is central to who we are as a church, and we believe it should be a meaningful and engaging experience for everyone, including you! This worship service takes place in Adkins Chapel. Accompanied by organ and other musicians, we sing the great and beloved hymns of our faith. We join together in creeds, litanies, and prayers.
Following the sermon, persons of all ages are invited to participate in Holy Communion each Sunday.
This worship service takes place in Moore Hall. It follows a very similar format to our traditional services, but in a more relaxed and casual environment. This service includes upbeat music and a media-rich environment. Before the sermon, children in grades kindergarten through the third grade are invited to Children’s Church. They will return at the end of the service.
Following the sermon, persons of all ages are invited to participate in Holy Communion each Sunday.
This worship service takes place in our Sanctuary. Accompanied by organ and other musicians, we sing the great and beloved hymns of our faith. Our choir offers an array of inspiring choral music, and we join together in creeds, litanies, and prayers. Before the sermon, children in grades kindergarten through the third grade are invited to Children’s Church. They will return at the end of the service.
We receive Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month.
Throughout the year, our church will occasionally combine all three worship services. Instead of meeting at our normal times, we gather for ONE service only at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary.
Typically, nursery childcare for children ages 4 and under will be provided, but we won’t have Children’s Church. There are activity sheets available for kids to enjoy during worship that will supplement their understanding of the sermon.
Before our combined services happen, we announce this change in our Sunday bulletins, Along Dauphin Way newsletter, Dauphin Way Journal, Social Media, and around our church campus on signs and flyers.
