Dauphin Way’s compassion ministries share God’s grace by showing our group members unconditional love and support during their times of need. Every time a Shepherd checks in on their homebound member, that church member feels loved. Each time someone is prayed for on the prayer chain, led so well by Lorraine Zerfas, they feel loved and supported. Every time a hospital patient is prayed with, or someone is wrapped in a prayer shawl, lovingly made for them and prayed for specially for them…love is felt.

Associate Pastor of Membership Care & Spiritual Direction
As Christians, it is so important that in all we say and do, we express love through our words and actions. After all we are not only representing the United Methodist Church, and more specifically, Dauphin Way UMC, but need to be aware that we are also representing God’s love. Please explore the list of support groups we offer below, which are all led by Reverend Kathy Jorgensen, a certified Spiritual Director and a member of our clergy staff, with our wonderfully-dedicated volunteers. Whether you’re interested in helping support those who need healing, or ready to start your own healing journey, join us for one of our group meetings. We’d love to have you with us!
If you know anyone that needs help dealing with a difficult time in their life, please share our groups with them, as well. For more information about any of these groups, contact Rev. Jorgensen at Kathy.Jorgensen@dauphinwayumc.org or (251) 471-1511.
The pastoral team at Dauphin Way is here to help you, no matter where you are in your faith journey, with Spiritual Direction. The goal of Spiritual Direction is to support you in your personal relationship with God, and to help deepen your ability to find God’s presence in your everyday, ordinary life.
If you or a loved one are ever in the hospital, in need of prayer or guidance, or would like to have a conversation with a pastor about your faith and relationship with Jesus, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at pastoralcare@dauphinwayumc.org. You can also call the church at any time to set up a time when we can talk with you. You are important to God and important to our church!
