Revitalizing our faith with books- "It cannot be that the people should grow in grace unless  they give themselves to reading. A reading people will always be a knowing people. ”
John Wesley

Feed your mind and your soul. Here is our menu:

 1. "Flannery O’Connor and Faith" led by Leigh Ann Berte

As a devout Catholic and brilliant creative mind, O’Connor integrated theological elements into  all of her work.  This series will first look at the author’s background and spirituality, followed by  a study of three of her most intriguing stories about faith, grace, and revelation.

 2. Garden City by John Mark Comer, a book study led by Brad and Rachel Goode

Garden City is the Purpose Driven Life for the next generation—this study will help us answer  why we are here and what should we do about it.  As we read Garden City, we will give a fresh  examination of our calling and our purpose. We will be looking at the scriptures and wrestling  with questions like: How are we meant to spend our time? Does God care where I work? What  about what I do with my free time or how much rest I get? Does God have a clear direction for  me? Week 1 will be an introduction then participants will read and discuss the book together  over the next three weeks.

 3. Halleluiah Anyway: Rediscovering Mercy by Anne Lamont led by Alecia Glaize

This new book by the bestselling author of Help, Thanks, Wow and Bird by Bird is a powerful  exploration of mercy, its limitless (if sometimes hidden) presence, why we ignore it, and how we  can embrace it. "Mercy is radical kindness," Anne Lamott writes. “It's the permission you give  others—and yourself—to forgive a debt, to absolve the un-absolvable, to let go of the judgment  and pain that make life so difficult.”
