Third Grade Bible Presentation
Third Grade is a BIG deal at Dauphin Way UMC! Just as educators see the 3rd grade as being a transitional time from “learning to read” to “reading to learn,” we see it as the perfect year to give children their very own Bibles and teach them how to use them! It is truly a milestone in our members’ faith journey.
This year in 3rd Grade Bible Class, your child will learn how to look up verses, memorize the books of the Bible, be able to tell the overarching story of the Bible, and identify themes that occur throughout it. It is an important precursor to Confirmation, which comes in the sixth grade as students affirm for themselves the decision to follow Christ and join the Church.
To all the parents of the kids involved in our Children’s Ministry, thank you for trusting us with your child’s spiritual formation. We hope to see you on September 7!

- 3rd Grade Bible class will happen during our fall programming, from 4:30-6:30 PM.
- At the end of the year, there will be a special 3rd Grade Celebration for students who completed at least 2/3 of their Bible classes.
